China to drop one-child policy and introduce IDEA 3G to control population

Beijing: Following the huge success of Idea 3G ad in India, the Chinese government has decided to introduce Idea 3G services in the country. A Chinese government spokesperson, Chi Po Naye said: "China had adopted one-child policy many years back to control population. Though the policy has been very effective in population control, it has had some undesirable consequences like skewed sex ratio. The authorities were looking for an alternative. This is when we got to know about Idea 3G - what a simple solution! Had we known this earlier, we would not have wasted so much of resources on implementing the one-child policy. The Chinese government would like to express its profound gratitude to Abhishek Bachhan for giving such a simple solution to an extremely complex problem."

The United Nations Secretary General also hailed Idea for the innovative solution. In a statement today, he said: "We would like to congratulate and thank Idea for a novel solution to a serious problem. We would encourage them to solve other global issues like poverty, malnutrition, malaria, terrorism etc with their ads."

Taking a cue from this campaign, some nations with very less population have decided to implement mandatory daily power cuts. This, they say, is to create a conducive environment for people to have more kids.

However, Aishwarya Rai Bacchan expressed her disappointment over the new Idea ad. She said: "Abhishek has changed a lot after the Idea ad. He doesn't talk to me face to face anymore. He always makes a video call, even if he is in the adjacent room. He keeps using 3G services through the night and has said 'no' to the idea of having another child. In fact he even asked me to reconsider having the first child. Most of the time he is waiting for someone in the house to say 'no idea' so that he can quickly reply with a 'Get Idea'. I am really fed up."

When Barack Obama was asked about his reaction to the latest Idea ad and its impact on Chinese policy, he said: "What an Idea sirji ! We are confident that Idea can solve US debt crisis, Eurozone crisis etc with another innovative ad. We are looking forward to it."

Meanwhile Shruthi, the official spokesperson for Idea issued a statement: "The response for the ad is truly overwhelming. We are planning to launch the second phase of the campaign shortly. Idea would soon come up with flavoured 3G sim cards."
